What's happening today in ANSES?
This Friday, August 21, 2026, the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) confirmed via its official social media channels the payment of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) to all holders whose national identity document (DNI) ends with the digit 8. The announcement was made at 08:09 local time, along with the reminder of the full payment calendar.
The AUH is one of the most important direct income transfers in Argentina, covering millions of children and teenagers whose parents or guardians work in the informal sector or are unemployed. It provides essential financial support to vulnerable families across the country.
What is the AUH and how does the schedule work?
The Asignación Universal por Hijo is a family allowance delivered by the State to parents or guardians who lack a formal job and social security. It is designed to ensure the well-being and rights of children and adolescents. The monthly amount is adjusted according to the Mobility Law (the same rule that updates pensions).
To streamline payment and avoid congestion, ANSES assigns a specific day based on the last digit of the DNI. This way, each holder knows exactly when they will receive the money. Today, the turn corresponds to those whose DNI ends in 8.
A crucial detail: the AUH is paid in two parts. 80% of the monthly amount is deposited directly into the account, while the remaining 20% is withheld until the responsible adult presents the Universal Allowance Booklet (a certification of school attendance and medical check-ups) for each beneficiary. This booklet proves compliance with the required conditions.
Payment schedule for August 2026
The schedule runs from Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays. For this month, the daily sequence follows the DNI ending digits. Today, Friday, August 21, 2026, corresponds to DNIs ending in 8.
- AUH DNI ending in 8
Funds are deposited into the CBU (bank account) associated with the holder, or can be withdrawn in person at designated bank branches.
How to check your payment status
- Visit the official ANSES website: anses.gob.ar
