Marley Clarifies the Status of His Relationship with Flor Peña

Alejandro "Marley" Wiebe, one of Argentina's most beloved television personalities, broke his silence from the United States, where he is covering the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He addressed any doubts about his relationship with Florencia Peña, a renowned Argentine actress and comedian, following the scandal caused by the fake news regarding the alleged death of Jorge Messi (father of football legend Lionel Messi).

When asked about the controversy, the host downplayed the situation and was emphatic: "Everything has a solution. They make too much fuss on TV." He also confirmed that he is still in contact with the actress: "We are talking and everything is fine."

In an interview with PrimiciasYa (América), Marley reiterated his stance: "With Florencia, I have the best relationship." He also clarified that the episode did not affect his bond with Nicolás Occhiato, founder of Luzu TV: "With Nico too. There is a lot of TV exaggeration."

Journalist Guido Záffora revealed that there is an economic agreement in process between Florencia Peña and Luzu TV. "Florencia Peña's lawyer spoke with someone from Luzu, not with Nico. Florencia and Nico have not communicated since the Messi episode," the panelist stated.

Regarding rumors about a sum of 200 million pesos (approximately $180,000 USD) as compensation, Záffora clarified: "Today there was a call and they tell me there is goodwill on both sides. They didn't mention that figure to me."

Juan Otero, Florencia Peña's 17-year-old son, shared how his mother experienced the days following her dismissal: "She's bitter, clearly. Because it's never good for a person to lose their job."

The young man highlighted that his mother owned up to the mistake from the first moment: "My mom is human, she made a mistake, and she apologized endlessly. I never saw a person more remorseful than she was. She really thought her career was over."

Regarding a possible return to Luzu TV, Juan was clear: "I don't think she'll return because it wasn't the best way. For the slightest mistake she made, they already destroyed her. So, I think she realized it wasn't the right place for her."
