A Star Arrives in the Early Hours
Rosalía touched down in Argentina at 2:30 AM on July 30, 2026, aboard a private jet from Chile. The plane, which can carry 20 passengers, held only six people, including her partner, French model Loli Bahía.
The security operation was flawless: the aircraft was originally scheduled to land at San Fernando Airport, but since it does not operate at night, it was diverted to the FBO at Ezeiza International Airport. There, police motorcycles and several vehicles awaited to escort her to the exclusive Four Seasons Hotel in the Retiro neighborhood, where fans from the Motomamis Argentina club were already holding welcome signs.
The World Cup 2026 Controversy and the 'Perlas' Comment
Her arrival is far from relaxed. After Argentina’s defeat in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final against Spain, Rosalía shared a TikTok video by Mia Khalifa that mocked Argentines and called them “perlas” — a derogatory Argentine slang term meaning “troublemakers” or “unreliable people.”
Rosalía quickly deleted the video and apologized, claiming she had not read the text and only liked that her song La Perla was playing. Despite the apology, she lost 120,000 followers. Out of 50,000 tickets sold for her shows, only 100 were returned. This controversy coincides with the enactment of Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) 681/2026, which aims to penalize campaigns of hatred against Argentina, though it does not mention her by name.
The Voice of the Spanish Community
Lola Cordero, a Spanish journalist and actress living in Argentina, called the comment a “horrible mistake.” In a firm statement, Cordero said: “I am Spanish, but I feel completely Argentine.”
Cordero considers Rosalía’s apology insufficient and demands a face-to-face apology to her fans. She has announced she will attend the show wearing the Argentina national team jersey and will cross her arms when Rosalía performs La Perla.
Concert Schedule: All Shows Sold Out
The anticipation is enormous. Rosalía’s four concerts at Movistar Arena in the Villa Crespo neighborhood, part of her LUX Tour, are completely sold out:
- August 1, 2026
- August 2, 2026

Her debut on the Buenos Aires stage promises to be a historic night, full of music, emotion, and a message of unity that transcends differences.
