The audiovisual material emerges amid the investigation into the death of the 21-year-old young woman, who died on June 13, 2026 after falling approximately 40 meters during a rope jump activity when she was not properly secured with the safety rope.
The Civil Police of São Paulo maintains three instructors detained, accused of homicide with eventual intent (when the perpetrator assumes the risk of causing death, known in Brazilian law as dolo eventual):
The Court ordered preventive detention for all three defendants. According to investigations, the instructors admitted that the young woman was not properly secured at the time of the jump.
Authorities discovered that the company organizing rope jump activities at Skeleton Bridge lacked tax registration and did not have the necessary permits to operate extreme tourism activities.
The Skeleton Bridge, located in the city of Limeira (approximately 160 km from São Paulo city), is a popular spot for rope jump, an activity that involves jumping into the void with an elastic rope similar to bungee jumping, but with static ropes that allow wider oscillations.

María Eduarda's mother published an emotional farewell message on social media asking for justice for her daughter: "My daughter trusted you. She just wanted to live an experience, not die. I want you to pay for what you did."
The victim's boyfriend, who witnessed the accident, had to be hospitalized due to the emotional shock he suffered after seeing his partner fall from the bridge without the safety rope.
