Jesica Cirio's Ex-Husband Seeks to Move House Arrest to New Girlfriend's Apartment

01/07/2026 15:48 - Judiciales

New Legal Filing by Elías Piccirillo

The legal defense of the former husband of Argentine media personality Jesica Cirio has submitted a new motion at the Comodoro Py federal courthouse in Buenos Aires. The businessman faces investigation in a federal case accusing him of participating in a scheme to damage a former business partner through a staged police operation involving drugs and firearms.

Piccirillo is currently serving house arrest at an apartment in Banfield, a southern suburb of Buenos Aires, after the Federal Chamber granted this benefit in 2025.

What Did the Defense Request?

  • Freedom: Attorneys requested full release from detention.
  • Alternative Transfer: If freedom is denied, they asked to move him to his current partner's apartment in Núñez, an upscale Buenos Aires neighborhood.
  • Better Conditions: The filing argues the new residence offers improved living conditions and a supportive environment.
  • Guarantor: His current girlfriend, a well-known TV presenter, offered to guarantee compliance with the measure.

Additional Asset-Related Requests

Beyond the transfer request, the defense also sought:

  • Reduction of the asset freeze currently imposed on the businessman.
  • Lifting of the general asset restriction preventing him from managing properties.
  • New financial conditions to be established.

Case Status

The case is under the jurisdiction of Federal Judge Ariel Lijo, while judicial proceedings related to the file continue.
