Argentina's Central Bank Pays US$2.5 Billion to Bondholders, Reserves Stay Strong
In a show of financial strength, Argentina's Central Bank paid US$2.5 billion to foreign bondholders before the July 9 Independence Day holiday. Although reserves dipped to US$48.72 billion, the government secured international financing. The Central Bank continues accumulating dollars in the local market.
