Argentina Awards Major Waterway Concession to Jan De Nul Consortium

In one of the largest privatizations under President Javier Milei's administration, the Argentine government has awarded a 25-year concession for the Paraná-Paraguay Waterway to the Jan De Nul-Servimagnus consortium. Argentina's government has awarded a 25-year concession for the Paraná-Paraguay Waterway to Belgian company Jan De Nul and local partner Servimagnus. This vital shipping route handles 80% of Argentina's exports. The deal promises a 13.5% reduction in logistics costs, potentially saving farmers approximately $10 per ton in shipping fees.
