FDA Closes Major Food Safety Loophole, But 'Ultraprocessed' Definition Still Pending

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has proposed a rule that will require companies to notify all ingredients under the GRAS pathway. While this is a major win for food safety, the government has again postponed defining 'ultraprocessed foods', all while the country faces its largest foodborne illness outbreak on record.
