Argentina Secures Bond Payments at Record-Low 6.7% Rate, Averting Costly International Debt
Argentina's Treasury has launched a strategic tender for new peso and dollar-denominated instruments, scheduled for Friday, June 26. Economy Minister Luis Caputo successfully secured financing for the July debt maturity of USD 4.2 billion at an average rate of 6.7%, significantly lower than the 10% it would have cost through international markets. The government has already accumulated 85% of the required funds through local market operations.
