Nobel Peace Prize Winner Machado Determined to Return to Earthquake-Devastated Venezuela
María Corina Machado, the Venezuelan opposition leader and 2025 Nobel Peace Prize laureate currently in exile, has declared her willingness to do whatever necessary to return home and assist victims of the catastrophic earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, 2026. However, the transition government led by Delcy Rodríguez has kept Venezuelan airspace closed, complicating humanitarian efforts.
