Argentina Makes 10 Medications Available Over the Counter: What Changes for Patients
Starting July 29, 2026, Argentina’s health regulator ANMAT has authorized the over-the-counter sale of ten low-complexity medications, eliminating the need for a prescription. The list includes antihistamines and eye drops. While this improves access, these drugs will lose mandatory discounts from social security and private health insurance plans.
