Adriana García has made history by winning the runoff election to become the new rector of the National University of Cuyo (UNCuyo), ending 12 years of Radical party administration. Her Encuentro Plural coalition defeated Gabriel Fidel with 53.36% of the vote, marking the first Peronist victory since direct voting was implemented at Mendoza's largest public university.
