Peru's Top Court Overturns Ex-President Ollanta Humala's 15-Year Sentence, Orders Immediate Release
In a landmark decision on July 30, 2026, Peru's Constitutional Court annulled the criminal proceedings against former President Ollanta Humala (2011–2016) and his wife, Nadine Heredia, who had been sentenced to 15 years in prison for money laundering.
