María Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, only 21 years old, lost her life on June 13, 2026 after being launched from the Skeleton Bridge in Limeira, São Paulo, Brazil. According to Brazilian authorities, María Eduarda was participating in a rope jump activity at the well-known Skeleton Bridge, a structure approximately 40 meters tall located in Limeira, São Paulo state. This activity is popular among thrill-seekers but requires strict safety measures.
The investigation revealed that the young woman was not properly secured at the moment of the jump. While viral footage shows instructor Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff jumping safely with a child strapped to his chest, María Eduarda was launched without the safety rope properly connected.
The victim's boyfriend, who witnessed the tragic moment, had to be hospitalized for emotional shock, according to sources close to the family.
