ANSES (Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social) is Argentina's national social security administration, similar to the Social Security Administration in the United States. It manages retirement pensions, disability benefits, family allowances, and unemployment benefits for millions of Argentine citizens.
The Argentine government has formalized a 2.15% increase for all social security benefits corresponding to July 2026. This adjustment follows the mobility formula that indexes benefits based on the Consumer Price Index (inflation). Additionally, an extraordinary bonus of $70,000 Argentine pesos continues for beneficiaries with the lowest incomes.
With the new increase applied, retirement and pension benefits are as follows:
Note: PUAM (Pensión Universal para el Adulto Mayor) is a universal pension for elderly citizens without sufficient contributions. Non-Contributory Pensions are granted to those who never made social security contributions.
AUH (Asignación Universal por Hijo) is Argentina's universal child allowance, a monthly payment given to families for each child under 18 years old, similar to child tax credits in other countries.
AUE (Asignación Universal por Embarazo) is a pregnancy allowance given to expectant mothers from the 12th week of pregnancy.
In Argentina, benefit payments are organized according to the last digit of your DNI (Documento Nacional de Identidad), which is the national ID card number. Each group collects on specific dates throughout the month.
