A new audio revealed exclusively by Radio con Vos exposes a alleged maneuver by Manuel Adorni to influence the testimony of the contractor who carried out million-dollar renovations at his home in the Indio Cuá country club. The former Cabinet Chief, who resigned on June 27, 2026 following the scandal over his 775% wealth increase, attempted to influence Matías Tabar before he testified before the Justice system. (Note for context: A "country" in Argentina refers to an exclusive gated community, often associated with the wealthy elite.)
In the message, Adorni says to Tabar:
"Mati, my dear, what's up, listen, I've needed to talk to you for like ten, fifteen days. This weekend I'm going to Indio so if you want we can talk there, I'll be more relaxed about the May 4th issue."
May 4, 2026 was the scheduled date for Tabar to testify before prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita, who is investigating the illicit enrichment case against the official.
Adorni continues in the audio:
"Nothing, obviously, I'm going to give you all the support you need, don't worry, like I did with everyone, that goes without saying, but you count on everything, everything I can help you with. It's silly, but so you stay calm and we all stay calm."
The expression was interpreted as an attempt to condition the contractor's testimony.
Matías Tabar was not intimidated and testified before Prosecutor Pollicita that the official paid $245,000 off the books (in cash/black market) for renovations on his property in Exaltación de la Cruz. The contractor detailed the work done on the country house, including a waterfall in the pool which Adorni himself mentions in the same audio.

In the same audio, Adorni takes the opportunity to ask Tabar about an electrical fault:
"On another note, you know, completely changing the subject, I have a thermal breaker issue, I have the panel outside on the street [...] and on the other side, the side facing the street, I have a single switch inside a cubicle. That one trips systematically."
The official also mentions problems with "the pump, the general one in the pool" and asks: "Do you have any idea what it could be or what can be done to fix it? I'm desperate."
