Angelina Jolie broke her silence about her romantic life in an intimate interview with Yahoo Entertainment, where she revealed she has been single for a decade since her divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016.
The 51-year-old actress was direct in her confession: "To be honest, I haven't had any romantic relationship since I got divorced a decade ago." A surprising statement considering she was one of Hollywood's most desired figures for years.
Jolie explained that her priority was her six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, from her relationship with Pitt.
Her return to the big screen came with 'Couture', a film by Alice Winocour that reached theaters on Friday, June 26, 2026. Jolie plays Maxine Walker, a director diagnosed with breast cancer while in Paris.
A deeply personal role for the actress, who in 2013 underwent a preventive double mastectomy after discovering she carried the BRCA1 genetic mutation.
"I think I need to live again. Be free again. I think life has broken me a bit," Jolie admitted with rarely seen vulnerability. However, her daughters have been the driving force behind her transformation.
"They talk to me as young women, and I see what I want for them. I see what I don't want them to lose and what I want them to hold onto. And that, somehow, is reminding me of what I may have lost."
The actress added that her children now want her to be more than just "mom": "There's a different space for me to become that woman again, who isn't only a mother."
