The Government of Santa Fe Province, through the Ministry of Economy, announced the payment schedule for salaries corresponding to June 2026. Payments will begin on Wednesday, July 1 and continue through Tuesday, July 7, organized by rank and income level.

The settlement incorporates a 12.5% cumulative increase for June, resulting from first-semester collective bargaining. This increase was distributed monthly: 2.6% in January, 2.1% in February, 2.2% in March, 2% in April, 2% in May, and 1.6% in June. Additionally, a fixed increase guarantee of $170,000 Argentine pesos was implemented.

Understanding Argentine Labor Negotiations

In Argentina, "paritarias" refers to collective bargaining negotiations between the government (as employer) and labor unions representing public sector workers. These negotiations determine salary increases, working conditions, and benefits for state employees.

The Ministry of Economy emphasized that the $170,000 fixed increase guarantee aims to protect workers' purchasing power against ongoing price variations affecting household incomes.

The payment schedule prioritizes, as usual, police and penitentiary personnel along with lower-income retirees, followed by active employees with lower net income, and finally senior authorities from the three branches of the provincial government.
