Boyfriend's Touching Gesture After Venezuela Earthquakes

01/07/2026 06:58 - Entretenimiento

A Gesture of Love and Solidarity

Footballer Dylan Gissi (35 years old), defender for Nueva Chicago and boyfriend of Cinzia Francischiello (31 years old), the Venezuelan participant of Gran Hermano Generación Dorada (the Argentine version of the famous Big Brother reality show), issued a statement through Instagram announcing a decision that demonstrates profound human sensitivity in the face of tragedy.

"Given the situation Venezuela is going through and so many people who are suffering today, out of respect, empathy, and love for those going through difficult times, we decided not to make any posts or campaigns on social media related to GH during this moment," Gissi expressed on the communicator's account.

📌 The Decision Explained

"Cinzia is inside a game, but behind that game there is a much bigger reality that touches us closely. We believe there are moments when solidarity and respect should come first."

The statement also included a message of gratitude: "We want to deeply thank all the people who showed concern, who asked about us, and who continue to accompany Cinzia with so much affection".

🇻🇪 Context: The Tragedy in Venezuela

The earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 on June 24, 2026 devastated Venezuela, leaving:

  • More than 1,719 confirmed deaths
  • More than 5,000 injured
  • Between 50,000 and 70,000 missing
  • 774 damaged buildings in La Guaira alone
  • 27 countries sent international aid

La Guaira, a coastal city just 40 km from Caracas (the capital), resembles a war zone with dozens of collapsed buildings.

Who is Dylan Gissi?

Dylan Gissi was born in 1991 in Geneva, Switzerland, where his Argentine family had settled. His father is Oscar Gissi, a former footballer who played for Quilmes, Vélez Sarsfield, and Estudiantes de La Plata (three historic clubs in Argentine football), before emigrating to Europe in 1989.

After the death of his grandparents, the family returned to Argentina and settled in Quilmes (a city in the province of Buenos Aires). Dylan and his brother Kevin joined the youth teams of Quilmes and later Arsenal de Sarandí.

The Love Story of Cinzia and Dylan

Cinzia Francischiello and Dylan Gissi met through social media. After their first anniversary, she left her native Venezuela to accompany the footballer to Argentina, where they currently live together.

The couple is engaged to be married after Cinzia leaves the Gran Hermano house. The gesture of suspending social media promotion shows the commitment and sensitivity of both in the face of the tragedy affecting her home country.

Note: Gran Hermano is the Spanish-language version of Big Brother, one of the most popular reality shows in Latin America and Spain. Contestants live isolated in a house under constant surveillance, competing for a cash prize.

How to Help Venezuela

On Cinzia's Instagram account, they also shared a video from Venezuelan singer-songwriter Anais Castro, who has been living in Argentina since 2017 and is a member of "Olvídate de todo" (a program on Urbana Play radio), providing a guide of places where donations can be made to help victims.

The international community continues to send aid: more than 3,000 rescuers and 200 dogs are working in the disaster zone. Argentina sent 26 military personnel, medical reinforcements, and structural support.
