A Turning Point in the Corruption Investigation
Argentina's political landscape was shaken this Thursday by a high-impact forensic report: the Scopometry Division of the Federal Police confirmed that the dressing room where Jesica Cirio filmed herself with dollar bills belongs to the house of Martín Insaurralde in the Fincas de San Vicente neighborhood, and not to the apartment of the former model in Las Cañitas. The report was requested by the courts and has already been added by prosecutor Sergio Mola to his request for an indictment.
The forensic analysis established that the dressing room is located in the “general hallway on the upper floor of property 275, located on lots 242C and 243 of the Fincas de San Vicente Club de Charcas, on Juan Pablo II 1660”. At the same time, it ruled out that the images correspond to the residence at Ortega y Gasset 1661, owned by Cirio.
“This result strengthens the prosecutor's hypothesis and could be decisive in the judicial definition of Insaurralde's and Cirio's situation,” judicial sources told local media.
New Images with Metadata That Complicate the Defense
In parallel, the Apolo Foundation – chaired by Yamil Santoro – presented this Thursday before the Federal Court No. 2 of Lomas de Zamora nine videos and two photographs of the property. The files contain metadata and hashes that could determine when they were recorded and whether the house was modified after the investigation began.
The records include:
- Six videos created on 19/04/2023 – the year Cirio and Insaurralde separated.
- One photo from 23/05/2023.
- Two videos from December 2025.
In the recordings, a dressing room with clothes, more than 30 pairs of sneakers, 20 pairs of shoes, and a “glam room” vanity are visible. Also shown are a playroom with arcade machines, a pool table, and pinball machines, plus a gym with a treadmill, elliptical, and weights. Another video tours a living room with a fingerprint door, a large screen, and a table for 12 people, as well as a guest room with a bathroom.
The complainants' hypothesis is that the house was “cleaned” before the raid on 24 October 2023 – carried out after the scandal known as Yategate. Compared to the records from that raid, they detected emptied drawers, replaced faucets, and security cameras pulled out, suggesting an attempt to hide assets.
Context: The Yategate Scandal and the Ongoing Case
The investigation into illicit enrichment and money laundering began in September 2023, when images surfaced of Insaurralde sailing on the yacht El Bandido in the Mediterranean with model Sofía Clerici. The case forced Insaurralde's resignation as Cabinet chief of the province of Buenos Aires.
Recently, the case took a turn: Judge Luis Arnella – who had dismissed charges against Clerici – was replaced by Juan Tomás Rodríguez Ponte, a magistrate close to Ariel Lijo. Now, the new judge must decide whether to accept the prosecutor Mola's request for an indictment.
