The Turismo Carretera (TC) – Argentina's premier stock car racing series – delivered a historic day at the Paraná circuit, hosting the 10th round of the 2026 season and the conclusion of the Regular Stage. Juan Martín Trucco, driving his Dodge Challenger for DBG Motorsport, took the checkered flag after leading every lap, ending a worrying drought for the iconic American brand.
A Commanding Victory
Trucco, a native of Tres Algarrobos, controlled the 25-lap race, which saw three safety car interventions. At the start, Nicolás Bonelli (Ford Mustang) tried to overtake, but Trucco's defensive line kept him ahead. Behind them, Marco Dianda (Dodge Challenger) settled into third, and that's how the podium finished.
This is Trucco's second win in 235 TC starts. His first also came in August, but in 2024 at Buenos Aires. It's also the first victory for team owner Damián Gallo in his tenth race with the squad.
Dodge's Long Wait is Over
The last time a Dodge won in TC was with Martín Vázquez at El Villicum in 2025. Trucco's triumph snapped a 15-race winless streak for the brand. Additionally, Jonatan Castellano (also in a Dodge Challenger) secured the Regular Stage championship – something Dodge hadn't achieved since 2018, also with Castellano.
Castellano, Master of the Regular Stage
Castellano finished 26th in the final, but that was enough to accumulate 275.5 points and earn the 15 bonus points for the Gold Cup. He edged out Otto Fritzler (Mercedes-Benz CLE 53) by 13.5 points and Agustín Canapino (Chevrolet Camaro) by 14.5. Canapino was penalized 3 positions for ride height and ended up 8th.
The 13 Gold Cup Qualifiers
With the Regular Stage complete, the 13 drivers who will compete in the Copa de Oro (Gold Cup) – a playoff-style mini-championship – are now set. Facundo Chapur (Torino) grabbed the final spot after Julián Santero (BMW) suffered a puncture while running 8th.

The TC will hold its 11th round on September 12-13 at the Rosendo Hernández circuit in San Luis, which will kick off the Gold Cup. The race was broadcast on Canal 9, Flow, DirecTV, Telecentro, and Motorplay.
