President Donald Trump has designed an unprecedented negotiation strategy with Iran: Washington would lift sanctions and facilitate the Shiite regime's integration into the global economy, but only if it meets strict pre-established conditions.
According to the White House briefing to Infobae, Trump demands that Tehran liquidate its uranium warfare capacity hidden in the mountains and dismantle all technological infrastructure including centrifuges that would allow it to possess a nuclear arsenal.
Additionally, the United States demands that Iran completely suspend financial aid to groups it considers terrorists operating in the Middle East: Hezbollah (Lebanon), Hamas (Gaza), and the Houthis (Yemen), all declared enemies of Israel.
The White House coined this term to define whether Iran has genuine intentions to comply. It means Tehran must dismantle its nuclear program and suspend funding to armed groups to prove it is a valid interlocutor.
On June 15, 2026, Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohamad Baqer Qalibaf electronically signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to end the war in the Middle East, as confirmed by a senior U.S. government official to ABC News, Xinhua Agency, and Deutsche Welle.
"The president wanted to sign it personally because he wanted to show his dedication to achieving a successful resolution," the official stated, speaking on condition of anonymity.
J.D. Vance (Vice President), Steve Witkoff (Special Envoy for the Middle East), and Jared Kushner (Presidential son-in-law) expressed satisfaction with the Iranian leadership's responses.
Vance declared on Good Morning America: "If the Iranians are willing to commit long-term to renouncing their nuclear weapon, we are willing to integrate them into the world economy."
Marco Rubio (Secretary of State), Pete Hegseth (Secretary of War), and John Ratcliffe (CIA Director) distrust the intentions of leader Mojtaba Khamenei and the Revolutionary Guard.
These officials believe the terms "liquidate" and "dismantle" have different meanings in Washington and Tehran.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated after the first day of the G7 summit in Évian (France) that he used the Iran case as an example before Trump to convince him that in Ukraine too "military strength can contribute to achieving peace."
"A clear military strength has the capacity to bring diplomatic solutions closer."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced he will maintain the military siege against Hezbollah. He has sought, unsuccessfully so far, a phone dialogue with Trump to learn the details of the Memorandum with Iran.
Trump has the backing of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, while Israel watches the complex negotiation with great caution.
The war in the Middle East began on February 28, 2026 with U.S. and Israeli attacks against Iran. The conflict has left more than 3,700 dead and caused the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20% of the world's oil flows.
