On June 17, 2026, The Pokémon Company Corporation officially released Pokémon Champions, the new mobile title available free on iOS and Android devices. The game, requiring approximately 2.3 GB of storage, is now available for download on major app stores worldwide.
The global release occurred at different times by region: 1:00 AM Argentina Time, 12:00 AM in Chile and Bolivia, 11:00 PM on June 16 in Colombia and Mexico, and 10:00 PM on June 16 in Central America.
All players who download the game before September 2, 2026 will receive a special Raichu with Mega-X and Mega-Y forms available.
This promotion coincides with the start of Season 3, allowing new players to begin with a competitive advantage.
Pokémon Champions features full connectivity with Pokémon HOME, the cloud-based storage service that allows trainers to transfer creatures between Nintendo Switch games and mobile devices. Note: Pokémon HOME is a cloud service that acts as a universal bank for your Pokémon collection, enabling transfers across different games in the franchise. This functionality opens infinite possibilities for trainers looking to build competitive teams with their favorite Pokémon from previous generations.
The game establishes itself as the official platform for VGC tournaments (Video Game Championships), the official competitive Pokémon format. The VGC (Video Game Championships) is the premier competitive Pokémon battle format sanctioned by The Pokémon Company, featuring double battles with teams of four Pokémon chosen from a pool of six. Trainers will be able to participate in ranked battles, seasonal events, and qualifiers for world championships.
