In the midst of an investigation for alleged illicit enrichment and money laundering, Martín Insaurralde, the former mayor of Lomas de Zamora (one of the most populous districts in the province of Buenos Aires), is reportedly maintaining a strict low-profile routine in the Argentine capital. According to a report released on July 1, 2026, the politician takes daily refuge in an office building located at Libertad 567, in the heart of Buenos Aires.
Sources indicate that from Monday to Friday, promptly at 12:00 PM, Insaurralde arrives at the building's parking lot, sitting in the back seat of a gray Chevrolet Cruze driven by his chauffeur. He then heads to the 10th floor, where he reportedly stays working and holding meetings until 5:00 PM before returning to his residence.
The office, which according to the reception desk belongs to lawyer Mariana Gallego and her partner Antonio Mura, hides a particular context. While Gallego usually operates on the second floor, neighbors reported that the upper floor might be functioning informally as an office for the Union of Gambling Workers (Sindicato de Trabajadores de Juegos de Azar). This labor union is linked to Gallego's husband, the lawyer Mauricio D'Alessandro.
Insaurralde's presence at this location gains relevance following the circulation of compromising videos. In these images, his ex-wife, the famous Argentine model and TV host Jesica Cirio, appears in a dressing room full of US dollars wrapped in transparent plastic bags and stored in drawers and shelves. Various reconstructions suggest that the dressing room is part of Insaurralde's personal area on the upper floor of the property they once shared.
Facing this situation, Cirio's lawyer, Claudio Caffarello, stated that his client has been reporting extortion attempts linked to those videos for over a year and a half. There is a judicial filing at the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 58 and notarized documentation to support the timeline of these alleged maneuvers.
While the former official keeps a low profile, the judicial system continues its work, bringing hope for transparency and institutional integrity in Argentine politics. The last documented public appearance of Insaurralde before this discovery was in December 2025, during the birthday celebration of lawyer Fernando Burlando's daughter. Since then, the pursuit of truth and justice moves forward steadily.
