Monday, July 13, 2026. The highly anticipated 21st elimination gala of Big Brother 2026 (Golden Generation) defined the fate of the participants and marked the end of the journey for one of the public's favorites. For our international readers, 'Gran Hermano' is the Argentine version of the globally renowned reality TV show 'Big Brother', broadcast by Telefe, Argentina's leading television network. This special season, known as 'Golden Generation', features a unique cast of participants.
This week's nomination board (known locally as 'la placa') was formed in a negative format during the nomination gala on the previous Wednesday. Throughout Monday night, the host, Santiago del Moro, announced who was safe from elimination.
The first to be saved was Juan Carlos López, who received only 0.1% of the votes. He was followed by Emanuel Di Gioia with 0.4% and Yisela Pintos (Yipio) with 0.8%. The last to step down from the board and secure her place was Sol Abraham, with a solid 19.9% of the votes.
With the rest of the nominees safe, the final head-to-head (locally called 'versus') was set between Manuel Ibero and Luana Fernández. Shortly before 11:30 PM, the result was revealed: the public decided that Manu had to leave the house, obtaining 51.2% of the votes against the 48.8% received by Luana to stay in the game.

Before leaving through the main door, the participant who spent 141 days in the house stated he was leaving happy and that his goal was fulfilled. In his final words, Ibero left a striking message for his peers:
A pleasure to meet you all, I appreciate everyone, you have been part of 141 days of my life. I leave in peace, very happy. I hope outside I can get to know you all deeply. Those who put on a fake face don't get far, and neither do the false ones.
Big Brother formally thanked him for the time spent in the house and for being part of this historic edition.
