On July 13, 2026, the Board of the National Securities Commission (CNV) received the new authorities of the Argentine Fintech Chamber at its headquarters, marking a key step towards the modernization of the Argentine financial system.
For our international readers, the CNV is Argentina's equivalent to the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), serving as the main regulatory body for the country's capital markets. According to the official site of the National Securities Commission, the meeting was led by the President of the CNV, Roberto E. Silva, accompanied by Vice President Sonia Salvatierra, and Director Laura Herbón. The Fintech Chamber was represented by its President, Paula Arregui, alongside a team of prominent executives including Raúl Piccolo, Mariano Biocca, and Facundo Vázquez.
Tokenization is the process of converting physical or financial assets into digital tokens recorded on a blockchain. The RG N° 1150 expanded the Tokenization Regime for negotiable securities with automatic public offering, allowing a more agile, modern, and competitive market.
PSAVs are platforms that allow operating with crypto assets. The regulation of these services positions Argentina as a regional reference in financial innovation, providing greater security for investors.
During the meeting, the regulatory measures package known as Big Bang was discussed in depth. This profound reform promises to mark a milestone in the history of the local capital market, boosting financial inclusion and transparency.
Dr. Silva expressed that it is an honor to receive the new authorities and highlighted the open and permanent dialogue they maintain. Meanwhile, Arregui thanked the space to continue strengthening a bond of technical exchange.
Founded in 2017, the Argentine Fintech Chamber brings together more than 400 companies working with innovation, technology, and new models of financial inclusion. This meeting lays the foundations for a future where access to the capital market is simpler and safer for all individuals and companies in the country.
