Ukraine Strikes Key Russian Logistics Centers and Black Sea Fleet in Unprecedented Offensive

22/07/2026 22:29 - Internacionales

The War Reaches the Heart of Russia

In a significant turn of events, sources indicate that Ukrainian forces executed a series of unprecedented attacks on Russian territory on July 20 and 21, 2026. These operations targeted crucial military logistics, oil depots, and naval assets.

Strikes on Logistics Centers and Moscow

According to statements by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, forces successfully hit key targets in the Russian regions of Krasnodar and Stavropol. These centers were reportedly used by the Russian military to store drone components, navigation equipment, and other supplies.

Furthermore, reports suggest that Kyiv launched over 400 drones toward Moscow in the early hours of July 21. This is considered one of the largest aerial offensives against the Russian capital since the conflict began. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that most were downed, but the attack left at least 10 injured and caused fires in an industrial park and an oil depot.

Naval Offensive in the Black and Azov Seas

The offensive was not limited to land. Zelensky confirmed impacts in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, where an oil tanker and four cargo ships belonging to Russia's so-called 'shadow fleet' (vessels used to evade international sanctions) were hit.

In a separate incident reported by Romanian President Nicusor Dan, a Liberian-flagged tanker named Gas Lisbon was attacked by a drone about 20 nautical miles off the Romanian coast. The vessel was transporting 3,790 tons of propane gas from Egypt to the Ukrainian port of Reni. The attack caused a fire and left three sailors injured, who had to be evacuated.

Russian Response and the Belgorod Situation

Russia reportedly continued its offensive, launching ballistic missiles and dozens of drones against Ukrainian territory. The cities of Pavlograd and Kramatorsk reported two fatalities each, while the southern regions of Odesa and Zaporizhia saw four additional casualties.

In the Russian border region of Belgorod, sources indicate that a Ukrainian attack left six civilians dead, including a minor, and 23 injured. Additionally, an attack on July 20 severely damaged a dam in the area, causing floods and the overflow of the Nezhegol River.

Zelensky's Message of Hope

Addressing the possibility of a negotiated resolution, the Ukrainian leader stated: Peace is needed, and Ukraine has presented all possible proposals to the Russian side. They must be forced to resort to diplomacy. Glory to Ukraine!
