The wait is finally over. After months of success on Nintendo Switch since its April 2026 launch, Pokémon Champions is now available for iOS and Android devices completely free of charge. The release coincides with the kickoff of Season 3, designed to deliver fresh content from the very first moment to all trainers worldwide.
Players can pre-install the game from digital stores to be ready at launch. The app requires 2.3 GB of storage on both iPhone and Android devices, and only needs an Apple or Google account to start playing.
The Pokémon Company confirmed exact release times for major regions:
| Region | Local Time |

Players who log in between June 17 and September 2, 2026 will receive a free Raichu with its Mega Stones:
This Mega Evolution is considered one of the most powerful in the current metagame.
The Rule M-B introduces eleven brand-new Mega Evolutions with abilities specifically designed for Pokémon Champions:
Mega Evolution is a battle mechanic introduced in Pokémon X and Y that allows certain Pokémon to temporarily transform into more powerful forms during battle, requiring a Mega Stone held item.
Electrogenesis (X): Boosts electric-type attacks.
Reckless (Y): Increases damage received but also damage dealt.
Fiery Mane: Increases fire-type attack damage by 50%.
Eel Impulse: Immunity to ground-type attacks and boosts stats when knocking out opponents.
Competitive: Punishes opponent's stat reductions.
Regenerator: Recovers HP when switching out.
Rebound: Counterattacks after taking damage.
Intimidate: Lowers opponent's attack upon entering battle.
The update significantly expands the roster of available creatures, mixing competitive classics with modern threats:
The Pokémon Company confirmed the addition of essential items for competitive strategies:
Annihilape's Rage Fist now resets its damage increments when the Pokémon leaves the field, limiting its ability to stack power throughout the entire match.
Gholdengo's Make It Rain accuracy reduced to 95% and lowers the user's Special Attack by two stages with each use, forcing trainers to plan its usage more carefully.
The Pokémon HOME service allows you to sync your collection between Nintendo Switch and mobile devices without losing progress. Pokémon Champions is the official platform for VGC tournaments, and with this leap to mobile, any trainer can compete from anywhere.
