Gabriel Corrado, one of Argentina's most beloved television actors known for decades of telenovelas and theatrical productions, surprised host Mario Pergolini on his program Otro día perdido (broadcast on eltrece, one of Argentina's main television channels) by revealing with complete honesty the habits that keep him in excellent physical shape at 65 years old.
The actor shared intimate details of his daily routine, from the moment he wakes up until his last meal of the day, demonstrating that discipline and consistency are the true secrets to healthy aging.
Corrado revealed that he stopped going to the gym because it bored him. Instead, he discovered pull-ups (known as "dominadas" in Argentina), an exercise he described as a true game-changer for his routine:
"You hold on and lift your own body weight. Before I could do two, now I do sixteen—eight and eight. I recommend it because you're lifting your own body weight."
He also performs sit-ups as part of his training, attempting to complete this routine almost every day.
The actor explained that he eliminated flour and gluten from his diet, a decision that allowed him to lose those stubborn kilos he couldn't shed:
"I don't eat pastries in the morning, nor bread. I gave up flour and gluten because they don't agree with me. There were truly two kilos I couldn't lose, and I felt bloated when I ate flour—so that changed my body."
His nutrition is completed with green tea with dried fruits (usually dates) at 5:00 PM and a dinner at 8:00 PM that includes meat or fish. Before sleeping, he only takes magnesium supplements.
When Mario Pergolini asked if he never consumed alcohol, Corrado was clear: he has no problem drinking when going out with friends, just as he has no issue eating pizza occasionally. His philosophy is based on balance rather than absolute restrictions.
About Gabriel Corrado: A prominent figure in Argentine entertainment, Corrado has enjoyed a successful career spanning television, theater, and film. His openness about his health journey serves as inspiration for those seeking sustainable lifestyle changes.
