The legendary Argentine rock musician posed with Benicio Guyot in his living room, in a gesture that moved the late journalist's followers.

Almost a week after the passing of Ernestina Pais, a well-known Argentine journalist and cultural figure, her son Benicio Guyot (22) reappeared on his official Instagram account with two pictures alongside one of the most important artists in Argentine rock history, Charly García.
In the photographs, the young man can be seen smiling shyly with his hands resting on the shoulders of the creator of Modern Clicks (Clics Modernos). 'Con un enorme. Gracias' (With a huge one. Thank you), wrote Benicio, referring to the legendary artist.
The relationship between the family and the musician is not new. Alejandro Guyot, Benicio's father and Pais's ex-husband for 10 years, recently photographed García for an exhibition at the Museo Malba (Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires). Furthermore, Ernestina had always been linked to the rock world since her beginnings at the magazine Los Inrockuptibles. García, for his part, is a regular customer at Million, the journalist's restaurant located in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
In the midst of the investigation into Pais's death, the director of the theater play 'El divorcio del año' (The Divorce of the Year), José María Muscari, was called to testify before the Justice system as a witness.
The journalist lost her life on June 27, 2026, in a traffic accident in San Isidro, a northern suburb of Buenos Aires. Pais was driving her black Honda Civic on her way to a performance of the play she was acting in, when she crossed a lowered railway barrier and was hit by a train.
According to local media reports, Prosecutor's Office No. 1 ordered a forensic analysis of her cell phone. After finding multiple calls from Muscari, his testimony was requested. The director stressed that the unfortunate accident occurred at 19:25 and that at 20:30 a producer from Crónica TV informed him about the incident. 'It was only at 20:50 that the cast and I found out what had happened from her son, Benicio,' Muscari explained, dispelling rumors that she was running late for the performance.
