The conflict between Wanda Nara and Mauro Icardi added a new chapter of maximum tension this Wednesday. For context, Wanda Nara is one of Argentina's most famous media personalities - a businesswoman, TV host, and former wife of footballers who has become a powerful figure in Latin American entertainment. Icardi is a well-known Argentine footballer who has played for major European clubs like Inter Milan and PSG.
The controversy erupted when the businesswoman decided to go live on DDM (Duro de Domar), a popular Argentine talk show hosted by Mariana Fabbiani, to respond to statements made by Elba Marcovecchio, Icardi's lawyer. The situation escalated quickly when Wanda harshly questioned the attorneys of her ex-partner.
One of the most sensitive points of the conflict was the leak of information about the health of one of the couple's daughters. Wanda expressed with evident indignation:
"Yesterday everyone called me worried because Mauro's lawyer openly announced on a program that my daughter has a tremendous injury that means surgery."
The host of MasterChef (a popular cooking competition show in Argentina) denounced that information about her daughter's health problem became public before she could process the situation privately, causing an enormous emotional impact on the family.
Wanda also questioned versions that indicated she had learned about her daughter's health problem through the media:
"When she says I'm confused, I think the ones who are confused are the two of them."
During the interview, Wanda had a strong exchange with the program's host. The media personality reproached her for giving space to Mauro Icardi's lawyers to discuss the conflict:
"I like to show my face. I wouldn't like, Mariana, to run into you at an event tomorrow and have to leave through another door to avoid seeing your face because many times you didn't put yourself in a mother's shoes with me."
Fabbiani tried to clarify her position and responded:
"I don't remember ever saying you're a bad mother."
To which Wanda replied:
"Not a bad mother, but you know my sister, me, and my family."
The tension escalated when Wanda questioned the program's editorial line:
"I don't understand why you give so many hours of your program to two women with so much violence toward a mother. I think they've always been violent with me."
Fabbiani defended her work explaining that the program's objective was to address the issue seriously:
"The truth is that neither you nor I have the same life, we have a completely different reality, and my business is not at all to give space to two lawyers. We addressed the issue with the utmost seriousness. Besides, we've defended you many times, Wanda."
Wanda also spoke about the financial claims and child support (known as "cuota alimentaria" in Argentina), clarifying the versions that circulated in recent days:
"I didn't say I never received a penny, I received a payment that was destined for the girls' debt."
According to Marcovecchio during the program, during Icardi's stay in Argentina there were four complaints for alleged breaches. Wanda also indicated that the conflict was not resolved despite the court hearings:
"We have to go out and talk about this because Elba went out to request a support hearing, you can't say what happened inside, but nothing was resolved."

The conflict remains in the hands of the Justice system, which continues analyzing the presentations from both parties while the involved figures maintain their publicly opposing positions.
